Boat Street Cafe Pickled Raisins – An Easy Appetizer Enhancer!

We still long for the original Boat Street Cafe. Concrete floors, whitewashed walls, big chalboard with the day’s offerings, thoughtfully placed spotlights, and a super simple menu with good ingredients. But all good things must evolve, and it’s been fun to watch the Boat Street evolution – the new Boat Street Cafe is more sophisticated, and equally delicious. And with the new Boat Street came the pickle line.

The line includes pickled plums, pickled figs, and the beauties you see here – pickled raisins. They were lovely paired with a white wine, water crackers, and Stilton cheese. They’re sweet, tangy, kind of spicy, and generally fabulous.

And, we hear the Boat Street is up for a James Beard award this year. Congratulations!

Delightful!
