Cool as a Cucumber-Tarragon Gin & Tonic

The idea for this cocktail was inspired by the warm summery weather Seattle’s been enjoying, plus the beautiful green tarragon growing in our herb bed. After a long day at work, nothing’s more refreshing than an evening spent in a garden oasis drinking cooling muddled cucumber with a little gin and tarragon.

Cucumber Tarragon Gin & Tonic

Cut a cucumber in half and set aside half. Cut that half in half lengthwise, and then into half-moons. In a muddler, muddle the half moons of cucumber until they’re juicy, along with several sprigs of tarragon. Add 3 shots of gin (we really like Dry Fly), a few ice cubes, and shake heartily. Strain the drink into two high-ball-esque glasses. Add ice, some tonic water, and garnish with tarragon and cucumber. Enjoy in a garden oasis.


  • 1/2 a cucumber, cut into half moons
  • 3 oz gin
  • 2 or 3 long sprigs of tarragon
  • ice cubes

  1. perfect for our heat wave long weekend. Seattle is expecting 30C while Vancouver is also expecting 28C this sunday. Best to sip this cool and refreshing G&T in the hot days!
